Proem Sutdio designed it, and the house reflects the influencer’s relaxed and stimulating vibe. “I work from home, so I wanted to create something completely personal and comfortable” were the words Emma used to describe her new home. The House As we could foresee, the dwelling of a personality like this really had to be a unique space. This house by Emma Chamberlain has everything that is unpredictable but simultaneously simple and conventional. Built in 1955, this house was shaped entirely for the digital influencer and her taste. Clad in wood, the simplicity of this house starts with its base. Emma Chamberlain, being known for her relaxed and serene personality, presents her home as an embodiment of her persona. As we have already mentioned, the whole house is clad in wood, and the presence of this, as well as other natural elements, conveys that feeling of tranquility in the place. To match, we have a neutral color palette that we contemplate throughout the house. In addition to the color that wood carries with its presence, we also have white as a foundation. Starting with one of the most prominent divisions we have the dining room. A vast room, with a high foot and a great use of natural light. From this first space, we begin to conclude what the interior design of this house by Emma Chamberlain will be like. Traces of a minimalist trend can begin to be identified, a wide and clean space with a reduced presence of elements, prioritizing the area’s functionality. In this room, we have a magnificent dining table surrounded by four chairs, all with features that point us even further toward the minimalist trend on a rug. In this division, the most outstanding element is the stupendous suspension lamp that we have above the table. Moving on to another room of great importance in this house, we have the main living room. This space maintains the natural elements, and this time in a very charged way. Once again, the choice of furniture used in this space must be highlighted. We have an incredible sofa that surrounds practically the entire center table, another magnificent element of this room. This is another space that gives a brutal emphasis to the outside area and all the natural light it carries. As we have already understood, the minimalist trend and the presence of natural elements are maintained throughout the house. A bedroom may be the example that best defines this definition. In this space, we can observe the most present warm colors, which convey harmony with the presence of wood. The bed comes in pink tones, but a very soft pink, which matches well with the orange comforter with a tiger figure in the center. Already around, we have a rug under the bed and two bedside tables that hold two table lamps. Also noteworthy is the plant found in the corner of this division, once again carrying nature outside into the interior. The kitchen in Emma Chamberlain’s house is a charming and inviting space. In this space, we have the place where they created greater diversification compared to the rest of the house. Room by Room Upon entering the house, we are greeted by a luxurious entryway that already shows us what to expect from the rest of this project by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. A large and spacious room, free of details and details. A simple space that only has a mirror and a painting on the wall that divides the rest of the house. We must also highlight the incredible choice of furniture for this place, with a desk following the same minimalist trend as the rest of the house, with the red chairs at the front. We are going to explore a project by Monique Gibson where we explored the classic style and the simplicity that it can convey. Monique Gibson is a renowned architect and interior designer whose talent and creativity have placed her at the top of her field of work. She hails from Big Stone Gap, a coal mining town in the heart of Appalachia. Initially, the designer’s passions were more focused on other fields when she graduated in dance at the University of Tennessee. The move to Atlanta was crucial to her life’s unexpected turn. It was in Atlanta that she found employment in an interior design office. Later she created her own studio, formerly based in the city of Atlanta and since 2001 in Manhattan. His projects are characterized by a harmonious blend of modern and classic elements, combining colors, textures and materials uniquely and dazzlingly. As the designer says, “For me, decorating is not about any one style or strategy. It’s about listening to my clients and learning—and enabling them to discover—how they want to live. The key is to ask the right questions and create an atmosphere of openness. I am passionate about people and love learning their stories”. Monique Gibson is renowned for her ability to understand her client’s wants and needs and translate them into visually stunning environments. Soho Loft: the beauty of simplicity So let’s present Monique Gibson’s project called Soho Loft. In this project, we will understand and analyze the style that the designer uses in her projects, from the simplicity of the play of colors to the most meticulous detail of the decoration. As we can see right away, what stands out in this project is the timeless way Monique Gibson works with it. In a classic style, the designer provides a unique and beautiful style to this space. As for the colors, the neutral and simple palette she chose stands out. We have white, sometimes replaced by beige, as the great dominator of the environment. These lighter tones fill the walls throughout most of the rooms in this house. We then have, in contrast, black or brown, which come to give the contours of opposition to the lighter tones. Room by Room In this project by Monique Gibson, we have the subtle presence of natural elements throughout the house, which offers a harmonious blend of architecture with a refined approach to selecting these exact details. The incredible wooden furniture that the designer chose for this project gives it a timeless aesthetic and a breathtaking atmosphere. In the entryway, we have a row of French doors that lead to the rest of the house. We only have a rug with stripes, with a bench along its entire length next to the window and those doors running along its length. This room is the perfect example of the simplicity that Monique Gibson wanted to present in this project. Traveling to other areas of the house, we have the bedroom, which, as expected, maintains the level of elegance that the designer promised. Once again, simplicity is mandatory in this place, where we only have the bed with two chairs around a center table, and of course, the bedside tables. All this furniture follows the classic line that the designer already presented in the rest of the project, maintaining the intended elegance. The main living room proves to be another continuation of the style seen throughout the project. Monique Gibson wanted to make this space functional without deviating from the theme she had chosen for the rest of the house, so we continued with the same color palette, with the same simplicity of lines and with the same elegance. We have two magnificent sofas, with wood coverings and beige cushions, a center table that extends to the width of the sofas and a rug that occupies the entire living room space where these elements are located. We still have other elements that complete this space, which follows the designer’s intention to make this space as functional and practical as possible. The dining room is an extension of what we saw in the living room. Taking no chances, Monique Gibson maintains a neutral color palette and classic furniture. Of note are two incredible suspension lamps on the dining table that fill the space of this place. The bathroom was one of the places where the designer wanted to diversify. We have a room with an incredible mosaic on the floor that screams refinement: ample space and the perfect example of luxury. All the design and style committed by Monique Gibson make this project a perfect example of working with the classic without abandoning the intention of creating an elegant and functional space. The designer manages to allocate all the necessary characteristics in this project to carry all the refinement that a space like this deserves. In addition to more conventional areas in a residential project, the designer was concerned with adding value and offering unique spaces that bring different experiences to its residents. An excellent example of this will be the living room that functions as an indoor cinema, a sample of the functionality carried over to this project. She brings an ultra-modern atmosphere to all her projects with her eclectic style, where she combines different traits with pieces of furniture from different periods. Still, to add to her style, Julie Hillman never leaves out a touch of glamor in her projects. Its color palette is usually composed of soft tones, which corresponds to the expectations of the modern environment of the space. Colors such as white, gray and beige will be the most present in the environment, but colors other than these can also be present to give contrast and life to these spaces. The projects So let’s present some of Julie Hillman’s projects where her style and environments around the ultramodern intention in space are well demonstrated. Let’s explore each one and talk about their characteristics and specificities, from the color scheme to the choice of furniture to the most meticulous detail that the designer brought to the project. Sagaponack Home The first project by Julie Hillman that we will analyze is called Sagaponack Home, a housing project located next to the beach, and it already demonstrates much of Julie Hillman’s style and all the ultramodern style she works with. As we were able to verify, we have here a project in which the first characteristic that stands out will be the presence of a clean and smooth environment, with white practically dominating the entirety of the space. Still reconciling this basic and uniform color palette, we also have wide spaces and huge windows that carry all the natural light and the landscape surrounding the space. As we had previously pointed out, soft colors will be the basis of Julie Hillman’s entire project, however, the presence of some elements that deviate from this trend was predictable. In this specific project, we have the incredible center table in the living room, which brings wood as an opposition to this space, which carries the intended contrast for this space, breaking its monotony. To prove this same intention of the modern environment, we have characteristics that are based on this style. Furniture items with simple and minimalist features, as we can see in the bedroom, where we have a super simple and functional place. Ocean Home We are now moving on to another project by Julie Hillman, this one named Ocean Home. In this, we continue to bear in mind the trend of modern style as a basis, however, it presents some differences compared to the previously shown. In this project, we continue to have the play of colors with softer tones as the principle of the space, however, we have much more recurrent elements of contrast throughout the different rooms of the house. We have many more details where we can see different colors concerning this same soft color palette. In social spaces, such as the living room, we have areas with less frequency of these exact contrasting details, but if we refer to the bedrooms, we have places that are entirely different from what is usual with the rest of the house. The rugs are the best proof of this, with rugs in both bedrooms with bright colors and very different from the soft ones. We can understand this choice by Julie Hillman as something that the designer intended to create an opposition between social spaces and more personal spaces, giving life to the most private spaces of those who really enjoy this space. We were then able to understand that Julie Hillman manages to work differently on the same design style that she intends for each project itself, leading to the idea of the designer’s intention to create a unique space. However, some characteristics are pillars in Julie Hillman’s projects, such as the glamor and refinement of these spaces. This Ocean Home is really proof of that, taking into account that it is a project with so many differences in its style, we continue to have a place of luxury and refinement. Park Avenue Skyscraper We leave for the last project that we will present, the Park Avenue Skyscraper. In this one, we have once again a project where Julie Hillman works the modern style differently, and once again, the differences start from the color palette used in the project. If in the last one we had a project in which the soft colors already had to share more space with the rest, in this one we have one where we can even say that those same colors lose their protagonism. Despite being present, colors such as white, gray and beige are no longer the color that reigns in the environment, becoming darker tones with more significant presence, such as black and brown.
