Golden Beach Tommy Hilfiger’s House So let’s explore this project by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. This project, called Golden Beach, is an interior design project for Tommy Hilfiger’s residence. As we can tell from the name association, Tommy Hilfiger is a renowned fashion designer known for his luxury clothing brand. Completed in 2007, this project by Martyn Lawrence Bullard is located in one of the most desirable addresses in Florida. This residence is a stunning example of modern style, which combines clean lines, luxurious materials and a neutral color palette. The objective of this project was to create an elegant and sophisticated environment that, above all, reflected Tommy Hilfiger’s personal style. Few projects are as extravagant, eccentric and incredibly fascinating as this one by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Let’s explore each room of this house, from its base to the most meticulous detail. Room by Room Upon entering the house, we are greeted by a luxurious entryway that already shows us what to expect from the rest of this project by Martyn Lawrence Bullard. A large and spacious room, free of details and details. A simple space that only has a mirror and a painting on the wall that divides the rest of the house. Next, we are confronted with a spacious living room that embodies the essence of modern style. The white walls, as we already had in the entryway and will continue to be in most of the house, and the minimalist design furniture create an elegant and welcoming environment, such as the incredible sofas and the center table that complete the space. The rug chosen by Martyn Lawrence Bullard will be the main item for this room. A centerpiece, bringing texture and life to the space. A rug that combines the white walls with red and purple. An eccentric shade that leads us to the elegance and power of colors. We were also able to see some items that match the colors of the rug, including pillows, decorative items and even the painting. The main bedroom is a true haven of tranquility and elegance. With a neutral color palette, soft textures and modern furniture, this space conveys a sense of serenity. Once again, an eccentric design is visible in this space, with a bed in a unique style. A plush rug next to the bed would provide comfort when stepping on it first thing in the morning. Carrying the identity of the Tommy Hilfiger brand into the interior of this project, Martyn Lawrence Bullard chose the office, and what space would be best to do this, to carry that same personality. We can see the brand’s characteristic red and blue on the walls. We must also highlight the incredible choice of furniture for this place, with a desk following the same minimalist trend as the rest of the house, with the red chairs at the front. The dining room is yet another space where Martyn Lawrence Bullard spared no expense. An imposing dining table and luxurious upholstered chairs, the atmosphere invites visitors to enjoy memorable meals in an atmosphere of pure sophistication. We cannot talk about this place without highlighting the majestic suspension lamp that we have in this space. In addition, the richly adorned curtains that add a touch of elegance to this environment. A pleasant atmosphere that is completed by the, once again, eccentric rug, in shades of black and white striped in zigzags. The bathroom in this project by Martyn Lawrence Bullard is also worthy of mention. They reflect the modern style in its fullness. A totally simplified space, with a simple mirror and washbasin, had everything to be a discreet place. However, the designer did not miss the opportunity to create another vibrant space, with the walls full of drawings of bananas, in their entirety. This is yet another example of what the designer likes to bring to the interior of a home, always starting from the clear idea of creating a standout space. This project by Martyn Lawrence Bullard is the perfect example of a modern and elegant space. The renowned designer worked on this project with the aim of making each location unique and vibrant, preventing any space from becoming secondary. Step Inside The Top 3 Ultramodern Projects by Julie Hillman

We will present the three best ultramodern designs by Julie Hillman and explore their characteristics and particularities one by one Julie Hillman is a renowned interior designer and one of the leading references in the industry. Julie began her adventure in the world of design in New York, where she studied interior design at the Parsons School of Design. However, the designer had already worked in several companies before founding her own design studio in 2002, Julie Hillman Design, located where it all began, in New York. Julie Hillman is known for creating sophisticated and elegant spaces for high-profile clients, including celebrities, entrepreneurs and business leaders. She is also renowned for her rigorous approach to design, combining high-quality pieces and bespoke details to create unique and timeless spaces. Julie Hillman already has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, where she has developed several skills around her favorite style. She brings an ultra-modern atmosphere to all her projects with her eclectic style, where she combines different traits with pieces of furniture from different periods. Still, to add to her style, Julie Hillman never leaves out a touch of glamor in her projects. Its color palette is usually composed of soft tones, which corresponds to the expectations of the modern environment of the space. Colors such as white, gray and beige will be the most present in the environment, but colors other than these can also be present to give contrast and life to these spaces. The projects So let’s present some of Julie Hillman’s projects where her style and environments around the ultramodern intention in space are well demonstrated. Let’s explore each one and talk about their characteristics and specificities, from the color scheme to the choice of furniture to the most meticulous detail that the designer brought to the project. Sagaponack Home The first project by Julie Hillman that we will analyze is called Sagaponack Home, a housing project located next to the beach, and it already demonstrates much of Julie Hillman’s style and all the ultramodern style she works with. As we were able to verify, we have here a project in which the first characteristic that stands out will be the presence of a clean and smooth environment, with white practically dominating the entirety of the space. Still reconciling this basic and uniform color palette, we also have wide spaces and huge windows that carry all the natural light and the landscape surrounding the space. As we had previously pointed out, soft colors will be the basis of Julie Hillman’s entire project, however, the presence of some elements that deviate from this trend was predictable. In this specific project, we have the incredible center table in the living room, which brings wood as an opposition to this space, which carries the intended contrast for this space, breaking its monotony. To prove this same intention of the modern environment, we have characteristics that are based on this style. Furniture items with simple and minimalist features, as we can see in the bedroom, where we have a super simple and functional place. Ocean Home We are now moving on to another project by Julie Hillman, this one named Ocean Home. In this, we continue to bear in mind the trend of modern style as a basis, however, it presents some differences compared to the previously shown. In this project, we continue to have the play of colors with softer tones as the principle of the space, however, we have much more recurrent elements of contrast throughout the different rooms of the house. We have many more details where we can see different colors concerning this same soft color palette. In social spaces, such as the living room, we have areas with less frequency of these exact contrasting details, but if we refer to the bedrooms, we have places that are entirely different from what is usual with the rest of the house. The rugs are the best proof of this, with rugs in both bedrooms with bright colors and very different from the soft ones. We can understand this choice by Julie Hillman as something that the designer intended to create an opposition between social spaces and more personal spaces, giving life to the most private spaces of those who really enjoy this space. We were then able to understand that Julie Hillman manages to work differently on the same design style that she intends for each project itself, leading to the idea of the designer’s intention to create a unique space. However, some characteristics are pillars in Julie Hillman’s projects, such as the glamor and refinement of these spaces. This Ocean Home is really proof of that, taking into account that it is a project with so many differences in its style, we continue to have a place of luxury and refinement. Park Avenue Skyscraper We leave for the last project that we will present, the Park Avenue Skyscraper. In this one, we have once again a project where Julie Hillman works the modern style differently, and once again, the differences start from the color palette used in the project. If in the last one we had a project in which the soft colors already had to share more space with the rest, in this one we have one where we can even say that those same colors lose their protagonism. Despite being present, colors such as white, gray and beige are no longer the color that reigns in the environment, becoming darker tones with more significant presence, such as black and brown. We can then check the way Julie Hillman worked on this project. Once again, refinement is the focus of her work, and the modern trend is the basis, accompanied by the indispensable traits of this style. Minimalist elements, simple lines and vast spaces, as we can see in the magnificent living room that this project presents, with an incredible black sofa in the center of this area and other spectacular furniture and …

Everything You Need To Know About Chris Shao’s Penthouse Project

Chris Shao carries his roots to his projects, no matter where in the world he works. Let’s explore one of his projects in his homeland. Born in Asia, specifically in China, Chris Shao is a designer who lives in New York City, where he founded, in 2016, his own company Chris Shao Studio LLC. He arrived in New York City to graduate, having earned a Master of Fine Arts at the city’s School of Interior Design. There, he received his first major commission for an interior home design. Since then, Chris Shao has opened a second studio in 2018, this one in his hometown of Shanghai. Both studios are already consolidated on an international scale, in which they have expanded to high-end projects. In his design, Chris Shao likes to play with contrast and opposites. His works are famous for their fusion of masculine and feminine, modern and classic, and romantic and classic. So let’s explore a project where we’ll understand the Asian designer’s way of working, from this game of contrasts to the references he carries from the culture of his homeland. The project We now leave for the exploration of this project by Chris Shao. Here we present a penthouse in Shanghai, where the second studio of Chris Shao Studio LLC is located. As we mentioned earlier, this designer likes to work on the game of contrasts, and this project is no different. We will consider the use of the modern in a traditional environment. As for the style, in this project, we have a contemporary style at the house’s base. This style is characterized by its simplicity, minimalist lines, and modern furniture. Usually associated with sophisticated and elegant environments. Chris Shao’s Shanghai Penthouse is no different. Let’s then browse through the rooms of this house and understand how the designer works with this contemporary style. Serene and peaceful environment What perhaps comes to mind at first glance is the balance of colors that Chris Shao has chosen for this project. White will be the main protagonist in this house, with beige and gray in the background. Throughout the entire house, we have spaces where these three colors reside in their fullness. An excellent example of this is the main living room, where we have white, beige and gray commanding almost the entirety of the environment, such as the beige on the center table, the gray on the sofa, and the white on the magnificent pillars marble. Not only in these moments but almost in the whole environment, we only have these three colors, except for some decorative items, such as the plant in the center of the room. In this way, we begin to understand how the designer intended to treat this space. This choice of colors immediately leads to a more minimalist space, where elegance will be conveyed not by the details, but by the lack of them. The clean and geometric lines are also visible right through this first division, referring to that same minimalist trend. Where luxury is standard After delving into Chris Shao’s color choices, the second thing that stands out the most about this project is the luxurious and elegant space that presents itself. Throughout the various divisions, we are increasingly impressed with the refinement that the designer has incorporated into this house. Right through the entryway, we can see the giant door that leads to a clean space, with only two decorative items on the sides, one in stone and the other in wood, and a magnificent suspension lamp bringing the area to life. Another excellent example of this same refinement is the bathroom, where we have the same stone used in the pillars of the living room to act as walls, a trait of elegance that is impossible to get around. To complete this idea of elegance, Chris Shao still reconciles the minimalist ideals that we mentioned earlier. Open and airy spaces, with functionality at the vertigo of the designer’s thoughts, put aside any exaggerations and extra pieces in the area. The other living room of this house is a clear design of this minimalist trend sought by the designer. We only have lighting elements in the space, a simple rug, a super uncomplicated sofa, a small center table and two armchairs, and all components are in the same neutral color tone. We then present how Chris Shao and his studio work on their projects. In this specific one, we see a project where the contemporary is the basis, and with it, trends such as minimalism are transported. Style aside, here we have a reference project in terms of refinement and luxury. We have many more projects to inspire you on our project page, or visit TAPIS Studio to find the perfect rug for your space. 12 Memorable Living Rooms Where Rugs Are The Star!

Rugs are the star of any room. How about completing your living room with unique and memorable pieces? Check out these projects! In this article, we’ll explore how rugs can be used as a centerpiece in living rooms. Check out these 12 living room interiors that have been given an update: Inspired by the 2023 edition of the 1stDibs 50 list that celebrates interior designers and architects considered to be rising names in the field, TAPIS Studio has made a selection of 20 projects where rugs are the big star of living rooms. These pieces have long been a staple in home décor, adding comfort and style to any space. In the living room, where family and guests gather, the right rug can create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Creating a Focal Point Where Rugs Are The Star: COLOR: The colors in the rug should be reflected in the rest of the room’s décor. For example, if the rug is a bright and bold color, the furniture and accessories should be more neutral to balance out the space. Conversely, if the rug is neutral, brighter accent colors can be added to create visual interest. PATTERNS: If the rug has a bold pattern, it’s best to keep the rest of the room’s décor more subdued. Conversely, if the rug is solid-colored, patterns can be added through throw pillows or curtains to create texture and interest. TEXTURE: Rugs add texture to a living room, which can be enhanced by incorporating other textures into the space. For example, a shaggy rug can be paired with velvet throw pillows or a leather couch to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. 12 Living Rooms Projects with Striking Rugs In a rug-centric living room, the rug becomes the focal point of the space. To create a cohesive design, the rest of the room should be designed around the rug. This can be done by selecting complementary colors and patterns for the furniture, pillows, and accessories. We will understand the style that characterizes the studio and the different ways of working with interior design. As Shawn Henderson himself describes, “My creative process begins by listening to my clients then contemplating how design can make their lives more beautiful”. The designer believes that beauty is found in the details and emphasizes the attributes of lightness, flexibility and cleanliness in a space. We will start to observe each project in particular, where each has its own characteristics and peculiarities, demonstrating the flexibility and adaptability of Shawn Henderson Interior Design. Chelsea Apartment We started with Chelsea Apartment, a Shawn Henderson Interior Design project located in New York. This project presents a variation of the Mid-Century style, bearing in mind the Mid-Century Modern style, a minimalist and elegant approach to the base style. This style is often associated with the use of minimalist and functional furniture, finished in natural wood or synthetic materials such as plastic, metal and glass. Regarding colors, neutral and natural colors are typically present in the environment, such as shades of white, black, gray, cream and brown. However, more vibrant color tones such as orange, yellow and red can be added through decorative accessories such as rugs and artwork. As we can see from the living room, all the features listed above are present. The one that stands out first at sight will be the neutral and natural colors, such as white and cream, that command the room in the color of the wall, ceiling and rug. We could also identify the usual presence of more vibrant colors, as we could see by the sofa, with orange, or the darker shades in the armchair and daybed. Throughout the Shawn Henderson Interior Design project, we continued to verify this presence of serene and neutral tones with the contrast of more vibrant ones. The use of wood, as is common in style in use, becomes recurrent and complements this serenity in all locations. The pursuit of elegance is also very present in the environment of this house. We were able to identify furniture elements with a vintage style that conveyed that same elegance, as we were able to detect in the suspension lamps in the bathroom, kitchen and dining room. In these three house divisions, we can still observe more details of elegance, becoming the great highlight of the environment and the great success of the space. West Village Apartment Then we left for another project by Shawn Henderson Interior Design in New York City. This apartment is located in a building designed by Herzog de Meuron, a Swiss architecture office based in Basel. This one features a distinct style from the previous one, featuring a contemporary genre at its base. This style aims to create a clean, sophisticated and harmonious environment, characterized by clean and simple lines, geometric shapes and modern materials. Contemporary spaces tend to be open, airy and bright, with plenty of natural light. Regarding the colors, they are predominantly neutral, with the presence of some touches of more vibrant colors to contrast the environment. As we stated earlier, the contemporary style is present in its entirety. A project that has the dominant white color throughout its base, in contrast, we always have decorative items that bring life and presence to this space, as we can see, for example, in the red frame found in the living room. These vibrant color contrasts are essential to bringing meaning to living space, thus avoiding the monotony of space. This project is also the perfect example to demonstrate how to work with natural light and make the most of it, bearing in mind bright and bright environments in every room of the house due to the large windows that bring in the outside light for the benefit of the interior. Another common characteristic of this style is the minimalist tendency, and as we can see, it is present in this project by Shawn Henderson Interior Design: few details and open and clean spaces. The kitchen and bathroom are perfect examples of this trend, with spaces devoid of details and exaggerations, only having the essentials and transforming the area into a functional and elegant one with as little as possible. The furniture has clean and geometric lines, which emphasize this minimalist intention, as we can see by the center table in the living room and by the bar chairs and the kitchen Island in the kitchen. Montana Ski House Finally, we bring you a project by Shawn Henderson Interior Design that, due to its location, we were able to verify the first difference from the others. This ski house project is located in Big Sky, a town in the state of Montana. This house, although explored differently, presents a similarity in style to the last project gave, a contemporary style. Even so, this modern house expresses rustic touches in its approach, which contracts an obvious contrast and is …
