By incorporating elements of luxury and indulgence into our homes, we can create a vacation-like atmosphere that nourishes our bodies and souls. Staycation summer projects can take many forms, depending on an individual’s interests and passions. For example, one might undertake a home improvement project, such as painting a room or renovating a backyard space. Regardless of the specific summer project, the key to a successful staycation is to approach it with enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of adventure. By embracing the opportunity to step outside of one’s comfort zone and try something new, staycations can enrich their lives and create lasting memories 1. Madrid Serene Escape In a serene escape designed by Belen Ferrandiz, she puts a more cozy feeling to the room using a shelter for books and pastel colors, along with the giant abstract painting in the middle of the room, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere that invites relaxation and tranquility. The real magic of this design lies in the thoughtful placement of organic materials and the unique combination of elements around the white round table fabric. The ceramic vase with imperfections and the string chair around the table add a touch of rustic charm and a sense of character to the summer project, while the knowledgeable wall adds a touch of sophistication and elegance. And let’s not forget about the large rug with its bold and geometrical pattern. It not only adds visual interest to the room but also serves as a unifying element that brings all the different design elements together in perfect harmony. This Staycation invites you to curl up with a good book, sip a warm cup of tea, and relax and unwind in a peaceful and beautiful environment. 2. It exudes a sense of tranquility and calmness that reflects the image of the light reflecting off the serene surface of the sea. The large rug effortlessly links all the furniture in the room, from the round white table to the four chairs with wood-tone details and even the shelves with light blue and gold accents. The natural light that floods the staycation room further enhances the feeling of being transported to a seaside escape, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance that invites relaxation and calmness. How the rug brings all the staycation design elements together is truly remarkable. It is a unifying element that elevates the entire summer project to new heights while adding visual interest and depth to the room. And with its calming colors and textures, it creates a truly inspiring atmosphere that invites you to slow down, unwind, and take a deep breath. 3. Living Room Of Sasha Adler ´S Project

The Art of Mixing Styles: Sasha Adler’s Chicago Project

This Chicago residential project is a stunning example of how modern style can be integrated with antique elements, thanks to Sasha Adler. Sasha Alder is a well-known and respected interior designer in the United States of America. She is the founder of Sasha Adler Design, as we can tell from the association of the name. This interior design company specializes in property restoration, but also works on projects from the ground up. Sasha Adler uniquely treats each project, considering that the first phase of her projects is entirely linked to each particular client. The designer tries to understand her client’s way of thinking through an initial interaction where she tries to get to know and talk about the client’s wishes for her project so that both parties agree. Her projects are also famous for their unique style, where she combines contemporary style with archaic pieces, combining modern and classic elements to create sophisticated and welcoming spaces, contrasting the area. The project The project by Sasha Adler that we will present today is a residential project located in the state of Illinois, in Chicago. At first glance, what stands out the most is the simplicity of the color scheme that the designer has chosen for this space. In the living room, for example, we have the white color appearing as the base of the area, dominating the color of the wall and ceiling, as well as other furniture elements, both the rug present in the center and the chairs also present in the space. Continuing with the living room, we can highlight some more characteristics of this place, which are so important in a residential project like this one by Sasha Adler. This room is particularly impressive, it has a cozy area with the brown sofa, as well as the previously mentioned chairs, accompanied by the lamps that surround them. We also have the use of natural light well applied in this space, with several windows surrounding the room, which helps illuminate and expand to the scenery outside the house. This place also has several decorative elements, including two large abstract paintings and decorative objects on the center table. Multiple Identities The dining room is right next to the living room, however, it does not give continuity to what is presented in the adjacent place. In this one, we have the color green, even in different tones, as the protagonist of the space, both in the magnificent wallpaper and in the chairs surrounding the large dining table under the incredible suspension lamps. In the bedrooms, we once again have a space that is more in line with what we had seen in the main living room. A place where white reigns and where we can find various elements of contrast throughout the area, as in some furniture items, as well as in mere decorative elements, such as paintings. This room is spacious and brings the style that this house has already shown us, a modern intention full of archaic details. It is also worth noting the presence of a fireplace in this space, something that is not very common but conveys the refinement that Sasha Adler intended for this project. We still have one more space, another living room, where we once again identify another identity within this same project by Sasha Adler. In this living room, we already have blue, in darker tones, taking over the space. This space already presents itself as a more closed one, with the dark walls and the fantastic sofa that centers the area. A super elegant place, perfect for moments of friendliness and comfort. The past in the modern Considering everything we’ve mentioned before, Sasha Adler designed this residence with a well-defined foundation, a style carried throughout the house, even with different details in each room. Overall, this residential project is a fine example of interior design, focusing on simplicity and transitional style, which is becoming one of the most popular styles today. It is a game between the search for the old in contemporary spaces, focusing on creating a sophisticated and elegant look. In this one, this game is present in the finishes of some pieces with older and more primitive lines. Here we present a project by Sasha Adler, in which she works on a trend in interior design styles, a style that entails a mix between the modern and the ancient. This project stands out for its refinement and elegance, from the space’s simplicity to the details’ brilliance. We hope this project has inspired you, if you’re looking for more inspiration, you can visit TAPIS Studio to find the perfect rug for your space.

So explore with us and discover how you can transform a small bedroom into a functional and stylish oasis that the kids would love for years! 1. The Fun Patterns When it comes to creating a unique and playful space for a child, the possibilities are truly endless with a little imagination and a few strokes of a paintbrush. Experts suggest using calming hues like blues, greens, pinks, lilacs, and neutrals, as these tones create a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for rest and relaxation. It’s important to consider the natural light that the room receives, as this can greatly impact the colors you choose. Yellow and red are energizing colors that should be used sparingly or avoided altogether. But don’t let that hold you back from incorporating a pop of vibrant color like yellow, which is always a popular choice in kids’ small bedroom designs. 2. Maximizing Space Under-Bed Storage When designing a child’s small bedroom, it’s important to start with a safe and practical furniture layout. Begin by considering the position of the furniture – the ideal spot is typically as far away from the door as possible, but still with a clear view of it. This creates a sense of safety and security for the child. Additionally, take into account the other activities that will take place in the room, especially for younger children. Utilizing the under-bed space, you can super-size the storage potential. Gaining a world of storage opportunities for all of the kids belongings. By prioritizing safety and practicality in your furniture layout, you can create a small bedroom design that is both enjoyable and functional for the kids needs. 3. Monochromatic Color Scheme Children’s interests can change rapidly, from superheroes to unicorns and everything in between. As kids grow up, their tastes and personalities evolve too, and their small bedroom decor should reflect that. With each stage of development, a new restyle may be needed. Begin with neutral walls and then add pops of color and personality through fun accessories like bunting and wall art. Just like starting with a blank canvas is not only manageable but encourages creativity. Adding co-ordinating pillows will liven the room whilst keeping costs at bay, an achievable makeover that can be frequently mixed up. This approach allows for a simple makeover that can be changed up frequently to keep up with the child changing tastes. 4. Space-Saving: Wall Storage When it comes to designing and decorating a kid’s small bedroom, ample storage should be a top priority. With all the toys, books, clothes, and other belongings, you’ll need a variety of storage options to keep the space neat and tidy. One clever way to maximize space in a kid’s bedroom is by utilizing the tops of wardrobes for storage boxes. This keeps infrequently used items out of sight and creates more floor space. Additionally, adding shelves to the walls can create a functional and stylish storage solution. Display toys or books on the shelves to make them a decorative feature, or use baskets and boxes to organize smaller items and maximize the space. Transforming an awkward and sloped ceiling space into something practical and stylish. By utilizing an angled wall and sloped ceiling, you can create a unique and functional space. 5. Insert a Playful rug Another easy and practical idea to decorate a kid’s bedroom is to lay down a play rug. Not only does it add color and texture to the room, but it also provides a soft and comfortable surface for your child to play on. You can easily store the toys in boxes on wheels under the bed, making it easy for your child to access them whenever they want to play. This way, you can keep the small bedroom clutter-free and organized, while still providing a fun and inviting space for your child to enjoy. 6. A Stylish Bunk Bed When designing a shared small bedroom, or even just a smaller space, it’s important to maximize the floor space for playtime and activities. That’s why bunk beds can be such a great solution – they free up more space for movement and play And even if the room is not shared, having a bunk bed can come in handy when hosting sleepovers or having a friend stay over. Plus, bunk beds can come in all sorts of fun designs, making them a great option for adding personality to the small bedroom. 7. Wall Light For Night Time Lighting is an important consideration when designing a kid’s small bedroom. Natural light is ideal, as it promotes a healthy sleep schedule and helps regulate their circadian rhythm. However, it’s also important to have a good artificial lighting plan, including ambient lighting for relaxation, task lighting for homework or reading, and accent lighting to highlight decor or create a fun atmosphere. It’s also important to consider in the kid’s small bedroom the type of light bulbs you use, as some can be too harsh or emit a blue light that can interfere with sleep. LED lights are a great option, as they are energy-efficient and come in a range of color temperatures to suit different needs. When it comes to night lights, …

Living Room Of Irakli Zaria Interiors ´S Project

A Closer Look At Moscow Apartment By Irakli Zaria Interiors

Let’s explore this wonderful apartment in Moscow by Irakli Zaria Interiors and understand its unique style and the way it works in it Born and raised in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, Irakli Zaria is a designer who has made a name for himself in Moscow. From an early age, he showed his passion for architecture and design. As a child, he was already obsessed with literature related to this topic, given that in his home, he had a huge library with a wide selection of books on the history and art of architecture. The marriage between the designer and Moscow eventually took place when he went to the Russian capital to study at the Details Design School. Irakli Zaria Interiors was founded in 2013, and all of its work is in the residential sector, focusing all its efforts on this type of project. Most of its clients are located in Moscow. However, the studio has developed several international projects, such as an apartment in Barcelona or a Villa in Cannes. Moscow Homestay The project by Irakli Zaria Interiors that we will present today is a family home located in a condominium in the Russian capital. This villa, located in the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo district of the city, belongs to long-time clients, a couple for whom the studio has worked previously, so the style of the designer and his team is already recognized by the clients in question, which makes the job easier. Upon seeing the living room, we began to identify some characteristics of the style conveyed by Irakli Zaria Interiors for this project. At first glance, what perhaps stands out the most are the color choices that the designer has chosen for this division. We have gray as the base color of this environment, present on the walls, curtains, ceiling and even in some furniture elements, such as the armchair. Then in the background, we have blue, a color chosen to be the highlight of this division, to bring life and impact to the space. This blue can be seen in some decorative items, but the main one will be in the immense rug that covers the entire floor of this area. Finally, we have some elements in golden tones, such as the center table and the sofa, which convey the last contrast present in this environment, and to remove any possible monotony that may exist with the existence of a game of only two colors. Unique place In this project by Irakli Zaria Interiors we are present in the eclectic style. This style is a different approach to the elements chosen for the environment, which are from different styles and historical periods, to create a unique and personalized atmosphere. In this style, the designer is committed to opening the horizons as to the style he will follow. He leaves aside the option of following only a single style, mixing different furniture, colors, patterns and textures of different styles. As we were able to identify, this style offers this creative freedom regarding each space’s design. It even leaves the idea that they are rooms from different houses, considering that they are entirely different. The office brings us a warmer environment, with colors like orange, yellow and black present. There is also the use of wood in this space. In the bedroom and bathroom, however, we have the return of colder tones, however with a harmony of white in its fullness, in disagreement with the main living room, which presents the same cold tones, with a game of different colors, not only the white. In the dining room, we returned to what Irakli Zaria Interiors had shown us in the living room, and with it, the return of blue as the protagonist of the environment. Of particular note is the magnificent dining table in the center of the venue, as well as the frame that brings a feeling of impairment to this space, a super friendly and elegant place. Throughout the house, the designer’s ability to create such an elegant and magnificent space stands out, these being the points on which Irakli Zaria Interiors attaches the most importance. Refinement and good taste Despite all the features and styles previously announced, what concerned Irakli Zaria Interiors was to create a place of warmth and comfort. We can see the use of natural light very present in the house’s different rooms, something that brings an exterior environment to the home, avoiding the use of artificial lighting inside it. In addition, we understood that spaces are constantly created and made functional for their use. Throughout the different locations, we could understand how Irakli Zaria Interiors worked each one according to its function. In the office, we see a more closed and darker environment, which can be explained by being a place of total concentration and work, where the client will need to get away from what surrounds him and what distracts him. As for the living room, we already noticed a more open and brighter place, which is the leading social space where the client will live and create memories with his family and friends. We explored this project by Irakli Zaria Interiors where we saw how the designer and his studio work on a unique and divergent style. Distinct spaces and different feelings throughout the house, where we saw the intention to create a cozy and magnificent place. We hope this project has inspired you, if you’re looking for even more inspiration, visit TAPIS Studio and find the perfect rug for your space.

Charlap Hyman &Amp; Herrero

A Tour Of Charlap Hyman & Herrero’s Top 3 Projects

Let’s explore the top 3 Charlap Hyman & Herrero projects and see how they work in an extravagant and bold style! Charlap Hyman & Herrero is a firm specializing in architecture and design, founded in 2014, based in New York City and Los Angeles. As we can tell by the name association, the founders are Adam Charlap Hyman and Andre Herrero, trained in interior design and architecture. Charlap Hyman & Herrero works on different typologies, from the type of project, working in buildings, stores or houses, as well as considering the ways of acting and the style used. The studio looks for divergent forms of art and experiences of multiple meanings, in which they aim to create spaces that prove to be unique. So let’s discover the three best projects by Charlap Hyman & Herrero. Let’s explore one by one and detail each of the projects in depth, explaining their similarities and differences. Let’s understand the unique style that the studio applies to its projects, as well as all the characteristics and singularities they carry in it. Angeleno Heights Residence The first Charlap Hyman & Herrero project that we will explore is called the Angeleno Heights Residence and is located in Los Angeles, as we know where one of the studio’s headquarters is. It doesn’t take a very in-depth analysis to realize that this is a project with a really unique and bold style. The first words that stand out when seeing this space for the first time are strange, magnificent, original and maximalist. In this project, Charlap Hyman & Herrero worked on a style that is very different from what we are used to seeing in projects, especially housing. We have a Craftsman style in mind, a design style that emphasizes the beauty of natural wood, the simplicity of the furniture and the quality of craftsmanship. This style is based on valuing simplicity and elegance, with solid wood furniture, wrought iron details, frosted glass and natural stone coverings. As for colors, these are generally warm and earthy, like reds, browns, and yellows, and textures are rich and tactile. This style promotes the quality, durability and beauty of craftsmanship. In this work by Charlap Hyman & Herrero, the designers intended to bring life and meaning to the entire space, but in a divergent way when faced with divisions. Each division is an interpretation of a specific geographic location. The dining room represents the mountains, with the spectacular dining table that has a rock in its center, an incredible detail in this room, just like the suspension lamp representing the clouds. The living room represents the ocean, with the blue rug in great evidence. The bathroom represents a cave, and the main bedroom represents the forest, surrounded by excessive forest vegetation through wallpaper and the wood that makes the bed, an element that is very present in the space. In view of all these characteristics that we have listed about this project by Charlap Hyman & Herrero, we can also add that it is based on a maximalist tendency, another of the design characteristics of this studio, as we will also see in the following projects. Brooklyn Brownstone We travel from Los Angeles to New York, where the second Charlap Hyman & Herrero project we will present is located. This is also a family project, called the Brooklyn Brownstone. In this project, the designers had the mission to renovate and restore the house in its entirety, but it was not just any house. It was a historic house in the Brooklyn neighborhood that belonged to an artist. In this project, compared to the last one, we have the maximalist tendency still very present in its style. We were able to identify characteristics typical of this style, such as the large number of elements and details in the space, in which environments rich in textures, colors and patterns are created. Good examples are the bathroom and bedroom, where we find extravagant and striking environments, distinct colors and bold decorative goals. Despite all the characteristics and styles we associate with this project, it should be noted that Charlap Hyman & Herrero manages to create a space of harmony and beauty. With a style that emphasizes the bold and extravagant, the biggest challenge is reconciling these characteristics with the harmony and well-being that a place like housing must have. In this way, the designers could match the expectations and create a home based on their style and, at the same time, a space for leisure and rest for those who enjoy it. Turtle Bay Apartment For the third and final project by Charlap Hyman & Herrero we continue in New York City, where we have the Turtle Bay Apartment. This project bears similarities to the others, but with more significant meaning in terms of history and references present in the space. We have historically significant furniture, which takes us to a more traditional style. However, the mixture of genres between the traditional and the contemporary is interesting, carried by the exotic style of Charlap Hyman & Herrero. In this project, we have perhaps the one that stands out the least in terms of the use of colors, not because it is the one that uses them the least correctly, but just because it is the one that expresses itself less extravagantly in this sense. More neutral colors are found at the base of this location, with white almost present in all divisions. Only in a few places, such as the entryway, do we have spaces where the designers wanted to bring their bold style to the project, with the maximalist trend to follow. We browse through the three best projects by Charlap Hyman & Herrero and demonstrate how to reconcile the desire for a comfortable space and bold style. Three projects with their similarities, but all of them are different. We hope that we were able to bring you inspiration for your project, if you are still looking for more inspiration, you can …

Margherita Missoni

A Tour of Margherita Missoni’s Italian Home- From Concept to Reality

Margherita Missoni constructs her dream home in the town where she grew up in Italy. Margharita Missoni is an Italian fashion designer, model, socialite, and heiress to her family’s Missoni fashion house, which was founded by her grandparents Ottavio Missoni and Rosita Missoni Jelmini. The key elements of the design style of this Italian home are distinct patterns and vibrant colors. When designing this Italian home, Margherita Missoni attempts to communicate the personality and character of the family. Family time in the master suite. Margherita Missoni wears La DoubleJ pajamas; Amos wears an Automobili Amos shirt and Levi’s jeans; and the children wear Good Earth pajamas. The Margherita Missoni family is shown in the above photo as the proprietors of this magnificent residence. The colorful bedroom offers a pleasant and calming sense, with its green walls and stunning zebra carpet, and the Bambu structure bed and seat making the room cozier. The Margherita Missoni brand is noted for its use of bright colors and clashing designs, and the house’s aesthetic reflects this. “Color and shape took priority over period coherence,” Missoni Amos explains. The majority of the furniture was purchased online or on frequent day trips with Amos. Margherita Missoni suggests taking a day off to go on a romantic excursion. So, at 5:00 a.m., we’d open the newspaper and say, ‘Today, let’s go to this art fair in Belgium.’ Missoni Amos never used a tape measure, instead buying products on impulse and storing them in a nearby quickly expanding facility. Finally, “incredibly, nearly everything fits perfectly,” she exclaims. The photographs above show the living area, where the blue color pops against the bright wood on the center table and some chairs around it. This room provides access to outer space. Margherita Missoni created this vast living room by combining the various shapes and patterns of all the pieces in it, as well as by adding flowers to keep the space fresh. A one-of-a-kind eclectic area where the bespoke rug by Missoni Home unites all of the things and pieces above it with its varied blue designs. Still, inside this living room, Margherita Missoni puts colorful acrylic shelving where it divides the sitting room with another space which we can see below. In the space seen above, there is a lovely living room cabinet shaped like a chessboard and two chairs with flower patterns on the sides of the cabinet. This room is carpeted with an eco carpet, and the black and white animal rug sits above it, emphasizing the stunning centerpiece made of glass and gold metal design by Margherita Missoni. Margherita Missoni design in this room plays with the materials used in response to the natural light that enters the room through the large windows in the living area. The classic dining room with green forest wallpaper pervades the entire space. The wallpaper hues are contrasted with the strong and vibrant colors of the pink and yellow dining set (table and chairs). Margherita Missoni captures the great sensation of the family’s happy and unique moments when eating in the space. The dining set on the table blends in wonderfully with the rest of the space. The green tones in the wallpaper, as well as the other tones that occur around it. Another dining space, smaller than the other, may be found in the kitchen area. Margarita Missoni claims that when it’s only the four of them, they make better use of the space. This kitchen combines predominantly wood tones with the eye-catching yellow of the seats. The floor and walls of the kitchen are covered in vibrant handcrafted tile. “It turned out to be the most expensive material per square foot in the entire house, which my husband is still trying to make sense of,(…)” Margherita added. In the image on the left side, Margherita Missoniexplains that it is her favorite room, it’s the only part of the house that is entirely hers. Missoni Amos adds, adding that having a place to show her daisy—margherita means “daisy” in Italian—and Venetian masks are a comfort to her husband. It even has its own entrance so she can hold meetings without disturbing the rest of the house. Margharita Missoni husband has his own place as well, with a comfy sofa and a bar in the garage where he keeps his automobile collection. The area in the TV room is on the right side, with a colorful and strong color cabinet where the Margherita Missoni family keeps their books and artist’s figurines. The plants growing in the space give it a fresh, soothing feel. It’s a room where the Brazilian chair purchased at Christie’s attracts attention. The image above is the guest room in which Margherita Massoni decides to blend all of the different patterns. The clover wallpaper, the flower pattern in the armchair, and the distinct pattern in the black rug are all highlights. The wood furniture and sculpture side lighting add a personal touch to the space. The audacious design sense that is part of Missoni Amos’ DNA can be found throughout the home. One of the first things she did was hang a big Spider-Man from the playroom ceiling for her two boys, Otto, who turns five this month, and Augusto, who is three. “And they’re still not tired of it!” The photographs below show an outside vista, including the terrace with views of Lake Varese in the distance, which is decorated with Marni outdoor furniture, and the façade of Margherita Missoni’s house. Margherita Missoni showed us the amazing artistic ability that she had when developing and designing this Italian Home for her family and her to live. This outstanding design where the patterns and colors are all different but they match really well with each other. We hope you enjoyed this tour of the incredible Margherita Missoni Italian family home and that it inspired you to create your own masterpiece project. Redd Kaihoi is a 2019 collaboration that combines Miles Redd’s bold, fantastical world with David Kaihoi’s restrained, graphic aesthetic. Miles and David discovered that their two points of view were mutually helpful, with each perspective developing and expanding the work of the other. Redd Kaihoi always looks forward while looking back, enlightening and extracting the best design and art from each decade. And in this New York residence, they show that they can achieve it by embracing maximalist design. Putting their creative minds to work, and making the best of this mid-century and maximalist design style into this magnificent New York Residence. The green sitting room in the image above has walls covered in portraits of various flowers and plants, giving the impression of mixing with the green zebra patterns in the armchair or even with the floral pattern of the sofa and the two other armchairs. An ecological rug that embraces and connects all of the items above it, as well as the side lights scattered across the space. Redd Kaihoi decided to mix and match various patterns and shapes to make the interiors have an amazing result with the maximalist design. The hallway is where we get our initial impression of a house when we go in. The designers of this New York Residence picked a bright color to maximize the natural light that penetrates the space. Making the Portrait has a positive impact on the environment. Near the staircase is a sitting space with two types of seats, one leather and the other made of green fabric with a floral pattern; the side table tone matches the color of the darker wood floor wonderfully. In this maximalist design the environmental carpet to surround the New York Residence’s entryway and stairway. This Maximalist design room has a strong impact not only on the colors used but also on the pattern, which has numerous pieces lingering in the bathroom. Above is the makeup room, from which we enter the restroom. This area features historical furniture, including a black cabinet with gold ornamentation and an intriguing old white shell chair with green upholstery. The chair’s green tint complements the little plants in this maximalist design space. A huge rug with a yellow lion complements the wall designs and colors. The larger rugs are the major parts of both rooms in this red maximalist design room in the new york apartment, and the diverse patterns are quite eye-catching. On the left is this maximalist design bedroom, which has a brilliant red construction around the bed and a portrait artwork behind it. This New York Residence room includes a work area, a small library, and a sofa facing the window. All of the seating in the living room, four black armchairs, and two flowery sofas encircle the center table; behind it is the fireplace, with a large artwork above. Portraits of all forms and sizes surround the fireplace. Two iconic ceiling lights, as well as other side lights, may illuminate the entire area. The fireplace room in this New York residence has the same carpet as the entrance. A maximalist design that resembles the Eden Garden, complete with tree wallpaper and a fruit tree, as well as an abundance of natural light, making the room not only cozy but also fresh and peaceful. This New York property has more presence and personality than ever before, thanks to Redd Kaihoi’s combination of mid-century and maximalist style. The space appears to be full of imagination and creativity due to the vibrant colors and beautiful and varied designs. We hope you like the way the space looks and that this post inspires you to improve your creative and design skills. Be bold! Entryway Of Chris Shao´s Project

Everything You Need To Know About Chris Shao’s Penthouse Project

Chris Shao carries his roots to his projects, no matter where in the world he works. Let’s explore one of his projects in his homeland. Born in Asia, specifically in China, Chris Shao is a designer who lives in New York City, where he founded, in 2016, his own company Chris Shao Studio LLC. He arrived in New York City to graduate, having earned a Master of Fine Arts at the city’s School of Interior Design. There, he received his first major commission for an interior home design. Since then, Chris Shao has opened a second studio in 2018, this one in his hometown of Shanghai. Both studios are already consolidated on an international scale, in which they have expanded to high-end projects. In his design, Chris Shao likes to play with contrast and opposites. His works are famous for their fusion of masculine and feminine, modern and classic, and romantic and classic. So let’s explore a project where we’ll understand the Asian designer’s way of working, from this game of contrasts to the references he carries from the culture of his homeland. The project We now leave for the exploration of this project by Chris Shao. Here we present a penthouse in Shanghai, where the second studio of Chris Shao Studio LLC is located. As we mentioned earlier, this designer likes to work on the game of contrasts, and this project is no different. We will consider the use of the modern in a traditional environment. As for the style, in this project, we have a contemporary style at the house’s base. This style is characterized by its simplicity, minimalist lines, and modern furniture. Usually associated with sophisticated and elegant environments. Chris Shao’s Shanghai Penthouse is no different. Let’s then browse through the rooms of this house and understand how the designer works with this contemporary style. Serene and peaceful environment What perhaps comes to mind at first glance is the balance of colors that Chris Shao has chosen for this project. White will be the main protagonist in this house, with beige and gray in the background. Throughout the entire house, we have spaces where these three colors reside in their fullness. An excellent example of this is the main living room, where we have white, beige and gray commanding almost the entirety of the environment, such as the beige on the center table, the gray on the sofa, and the white on the magnificent pillars marble. Not only in these moments but almost in the whole environment, we only have these three colors, except for some decorative items, such as the plant in the center of the room. In this way, we begin to understand how the designer intended to treat this space. This choice of colors immediately leads to a more minimalist space, where elegance will be conveyed not by the details, but by the lack of them. The clean and geometric lines are also visible right through this first division, referring to that same minimalist trend. Where luxury is standard After delving into Chris Shao’s color choices, the second thing that stands out the most about this project is the luxurious and elegant space that presents itself. Throughout the various divisions, we are increasingly impressed with the refinement that the designer has incorporated into this house. Right through the entryway, we can see the giant door that leads to a clean space, with only two decorative items on the sides, one in stone and the other in wood, and a magnificent suspension lamp bringing the area to life. Another excellent example of this same refinement is the bathroom, where we have the same stone used in the pillars of the living room to act as walls, a trait of elegance that is impossible to get around. To complete this idea of elegance, Chris Shao still reconciles the minimalist ideals that we mentioned earlier. Open and airy spaces, with functionality at the vertigo of the designer’s thoughts, put aside any exaggerations and extra pieces in the area. The other living room of this house is a clear design of this minimalist trend sought by the designer. We only have lighting elements in the space, a simple rug, a super uncomplicated sofa, a small center table and two armchairs, and all components are in the same neutral color tone. We then present how Chris Shao and his studio work on their projects. In this specific one, we see a project where the contemporary is the basis, and with it, trends such as minimalism are transported. Style aside, here we have a reference project in terms of refinement and luxury. We have many more projects to inspire you on our project page, or visit TAPIS Studio to find the perfect rug for your space. Archictetual Digest : Best Rugs

Creating The Perfect Feeling With The Best Rugs

Explore the stunning and one-of-a-kind interior design where the designer selects the best rugs to give the place the perfect vibe. Best rugs primary function is to tie together a room and create an intimate feeling. Without a rug, all of the furniture in the space may appear to be ‘floating’ around. A room without a rug may appear bare. The designer attempts to bring life and brightness to Studio City, where all of these rooms originated, for a very creative and special customer. Each space has its own personality and differs from the others, but it all adds up to a coherent whole. The overall experience in the house is now elegant, lively, completely queer, and unforgettable, just like the owner Demi Lovato. Within Demi Lovato’s incredible home, we understand that the employment of the best rugs is a need in virtually all places, giving the space the sensation of originality and coziness with which she identifies. The sitting room which we can see above is the perfect example of the individuality that the space gives. The room has a combination of the white and black palette as the main colors, and from that point on the designer chose to put a little more vibrant colors, yellow and blue, giving the impact of a bold vibe, essentially in the result of the different shapes and details that we have around the room. The two best rugs are one of the most eye-catching elements of the space, one hanging on the wall just any other item of decoration and the other one with a tiger as an ancient Chinese painting. Above we have the called Demi Lovato’s creation room where she gets inspired and puts all of the ideas that she has into reality, as she explained “The studio is my little safe haven where I create, and I wanted it to be comfortable and zen, as well as fun and creative,”. The area is inspired by crystals, as evidenced by the spectacular glass chandelier dangling from the ceiling. All of the seats have some texture or form that makes us feel at ease in the room. However, the best rugs are a major attraction. A pair of velvet Eero Saarinen executive chairs and an upholstered stitch stool by Eny Lee Parker surround the greatest carpets from Cold Picnic. The studio was planned and built by Rob Rettberg. In the living room, which leads to the outdoors, is a wider space and includes a Desede DS-600 Nonstop sofa, Mies van der Rohe’s MR20 armchairs, D’urbino and Lomazzi Piumino lounge chairs, and a set of nesting tables designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina. Willy Daro designed the bonsai coffee table. In the living room, the designer chose the larger best rugs that can connect all of the pieces in the room while creating a contrast between the color of the things and the darker floor. Making the place appear more inviting. On the terrace, Faye Toogood’s pink Roly Poly chairs are arranged around a glass table with a metal base; this is one of Lovato’s favorite breakfast settings. The designer attempted to create an undersea sensation in the dining room by including fish and seashells, as well as the colors and illusion that the best rugs serve to provide, in addition to the dining chairs, which have an excellent shape. A Safavieh leopard print rug may be found beneath the Warren Platner dining set. Enter Studio’s six-globe chandelier swings from the ceiling. Truth or Dare by Yasmine Nasser Diaz is placed between two Ingo Maurer Uchiwa wall sconces. The diverse colors, like a rainbow, have greater power and make a big impact in this remarkable and distinctive colorful Shroom room. The illusionism of the ceiling, which has the light as a cloud, adds to the room’s creative and lively vibe. “My favorite room in the house has been and probably always will be the Shroom Room,” says Lovato. “It’s such a fun experience when you walk into it and spend time in it.” The room has an impressive key element which is the best rugs that can combine with all the colors that exist in the room in addition to linking all the elements that the shroom room has. The main colors in this Memphis-style room are green and pink, with some gold details. This room has the most well-known curvy mirror by Gustaf Westman, the Ribbon chair by Pierre Paulin, the Togo sofa by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, and the best rugs (Kashmir rug) by Cape Original, which were all sourced by Argyle Studio. Lovato spends a lot of time getting ready in the glam area, thus this space was built for the particular artist to feel glamorous, trendy, and sensual, the exact vibe that the best carpets with the room’s color scheme express. Above is another dressing room, with much brighter hues, thanks to the combination of the blue seat and the wood cactus. The clothing is what adds color to the room. The larger best rugs are soft, making it comfortable to walk about without shoes. Demi Lovato confesses that the clothes that she puts in this dressing room are the clothes that she doesn’t pay much attention to them or that she doesn’t use anymore. In the image on the left side is the powder room which feels majestic thanks to the House of Hackney Phantasia wallpaper, which has clouds of mushrooms and dragons. Lovato desired a zen-like atmosphere in the principal bathroom, which she created with pieces such as an opalescent chandelier by Carlo Nason. “It was really important to me to have an area that I could really, really relax in,” Lovato says. Tigre velvet upholstery by House of Hackney on a custom ottoman. This Was a magnificent project in which the designer revealed and used the best rugs to help create a cozier personality in to the different rooms. Exploring the Top 8 Family Home by Peter Mikic

Located in London, these family home designed by Peter Mikic take us to depth knowledge and understanding of materials, detailing, and product design. After working with several fashion designers, he moved into interior design in 2006. Peter Mikic creates designs for Residential residences, restaurants, yachts, and private aircraft are among the projects completed in the UK and abroad. Peter creates his own line of bespoke furniture, rugs, and lighting by acquiring antiques from diverse times and countries. Peter Mikic’s broad experience in fashion and interior design has given him a thorough understanding of materials, detailing, and product design. Peter has since been named to the A.D Collector’s Top 100, House and Garden’s Top 100, Country & Townhouse’s 50 Finest Interior Designers, and Elle Decoration’s Top Interior Designers. In this piece, we will look at his greatest family home designs. 1. Notting Hill Villa The interior of this magnificent family home was decorated with natural materials by designer Peter Mikic. The living room on the first level and the adjacent dining room feature walls that are a brighter shade of wood than the natural stone that can be seen in the staircase with a wood floor. The two orange armchairs make the room feel more lively, much like the flowers scattered throughout the area. This contemporary living room is centered on the fireplace and is made up of two soft sofas with a structure in a darker brown color that blends with the side tables. Peter Mikic hung large geometric and abstract paintings throughout the space, and they work well with the room’s expansive carpeting to tie everything together. The iconic chandelier in the dining room stands out from the furniture below it, and the painting behind it gives the space a more artistic feel. This family home room appears to be a peaceful spot to admire the beautiful elements all around it without any additional decorating. We have a more intriguing area to investigate in this exceptional family home, though, on the ground level. Peter Kikic chose a combination of white marble in the kitchen bench and darker wood in the kitchen cabinets can be found in the kitchen, which is next to the other living room and opens to the outside area. The area has a happier, less serious vibe thanks to the bubble over the kitchen island. The little dining room and stunning white living room, are located next to this kitchen. The floor above and what it contains are reflected below. The bathrooms, the reading room bedroom, the office in dark blue, and more. 2. Bayswater Townhouse The attention to detail is remarkable in this wonderful family home in London. Peter Mikic uses a lot of circular forms throughout the house; it appears that pattern is the key component. Round shapes are present throughout the home, from the table legs and spiral stairs to the geometric design of the rugs. The only difference between the kitchen’s interior and the one above is the hue of the natural materials, which are employed throughout this family home to great effect. The white room designed by Peter Mikic, the lovely and serene bathroom with its accents in gold, and the living room with its main colors of black and white is all depicted in the line below. He also plays around a bit with the tones in the space. As colorful patterns take dominance, the room is modern yet cold. 3. West London Townhouse A wonderfully proportioned historical building with a modern interior design scheme may be seen in West London. The hallmark that characterizes this Family home design by Peter Mikic is the use of orange highlight features with embellishments in gold and the lively feeling that is created when combining blue with light colors. The family home rug is the focal point of this stunning, geometric living room, which is centered around a fireplace. It gives the area all the hues that the aforementioned elements have, and it also contributes to the room’s lively and imaginative atmosphere. The room which designer Peter Mikic made was more distinctive and contemporary with the spiky ceiling lamp and other pieces of furniture and accents. The impressive rooms that these family home offers are listed below. The dining room, with its contrast of dark and light colors, which we can see the large rug helping to further that contrast, the geometrical ceiling lamp and the white fireplace providing us the embrace of two styles all in one space, and the bathroom with so much pattern in the walls and the floor with the exciting color choice to combine. The distinctive entrance, with its unique staircase, chosen by Peter Mikic gives off a cozy vibe. In the picture above, the kitchen is close to the dining area, which has some pink seats and a sofa with a windowed cushion arrangement. Peter Mikic decides to place a red armchair with a side table and lamp before entering the living room, and on the other side, before entering the living room, a massive photo book with many floor lamps. The most intriguing color scheme in this family home bedroom had gray, pink, and gold as its primary accents. A pink sofa and a table that resembles a stem form are in front of the bed, adding elegance and style to the space. 4. Bayswater Townhouse Peter Mikic created a magnificent design for the Bayswater family home in West London, and the designer’s choice of rugs is what makes the space seem special and amazing. The vibrant hues and deep blue utilized in the center table, the picture, and the amazing huge rug in the stunning living room create a contrast. Without its lovely tail feathers, which the rug’s designer Peter Mikic included in the design, the wooden peacock sculpture gave the impression that it was a part of the piece. The peacock is …
