Danielle Colding was challenged to be bolder than she usually is. This Townhouse in New York is incredible, with an eclectic style. The clients of this interior designer want to transform a five-story building into a personality-filled home base.
This New York house has been newly renovated and was a building in good shape but with a lack of elegance and style. So Colding accepts the clients’ challenge and creates an exuberantly eclectic townhouse.
Inside this Eclectic Townhouse
Colding already understands the client’s desires when she designed the foyer and the incredible salon of this New Your home. The entrance of this stunning house features a graphic black-and-white tile on the floor, creating a chaotic energy. Continuing with the black-and-white color scheme, the interior designer chose a graffiti print Pierre Frey fabric for the Roman shade.
The funky wallpaper by Kelly Wearstler creates a hyper-layered pop-art entryway providing an inviting and fun ambiance. The salon of the 1910 townhouse is stunning. Danielle Colding creates an eclectic style in this salon with a pair of Art Deco chairs and a curvaceous custom sofa in an electric blue face. The artwork by Mirielle Jefferson breaks up the dark opacity of the walls. Colding added a beautiful rug and a cocktail table by Tom Faulkner to this eclectic style home to complement the look.
The incredible and eclectic entrance of this house creates the perfect first impression. Up to the entry level, the eclectic style continues with the polished sunflower-yellow kitchen. The kitchen features custom cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball’s India Yellow. The countertops by Caesarstone and the wallpaper by Hunt complete the look of this charming kitchen.
The dining room is the showstopper of this eclectic-style house. The ambiance of this dining room is like Alice in Wonderland, with a set of 12 iron-and-leather dining chairs by Mario Milana that surround a stunning black marble-topped table, inviting the owners to a stylish dinner.
The Swedish blue and deep palette in the walls is an incredible Fromental wallpaper that gives an elegant look to the dining room. To complete the electric style of this dining room, an earthly Michael Lanos ceramic sculpture and a pair of Brutalist-style concrete floor lamps were added.
