We believe that the perfect rug can add a comfortable and stylish vibe to any home; it’s why today, we will show you how to stage a rug like a pro for flawless home decor. We are rug lovers, and that is not a secret – we believe that rugs can make any space more comfortable and add the touch of boldness that an area needs. We know that staging a rug can sometimes look like a challenging task – but the truth is that it’s simpler than you think. This article will reveal the secret and teach you how to stage a rug like a pro. Keep reading to discover everything you need to have a flawless home with the perfect rug. 1. Determine the right size A key aspect of staging a rug like a pro is determining the correct size; for that, you will need to keep the room’s space in mind. Two interior design concepts are essential in this aspect: proportion and scale. The scale refers to how an item relates to the size of the room, while the proportion is directly related to how an object is related to another in a room. These two principles are essential to achieving the right balance in a room. To use these principles while decoring your home, it’s necessary to consider size, furnishing, height, white space, patterns, and repetition. With that in mind, it will be much easier to find the rug size that better suits your space. 2. Use rugs to highlight an area Do you know rugs can be your best allies in highlighting an area? The right rug can anchor your space, and for it, our tip is to, first of all, arrange your furniture in a living and then add an area rug to highlight a space. One concept in interior design that can also help: is emphasis. In other words, you can use a rug to draw attention to a specific space area, creating visual interest. 3. Use a rug to create contrast Another tip to help you to stage a rug like a pro is to use it to create contrast in your room. To help you with that, take note of what is the contrast in interior design. Contrast is when two different elements with opposing characteristics place together; in interior design, this principle can make a space more attractive. The contrast is one of the secrets to a flawless home; it can add a dose of visual interest and bring intensity to an area. This principle can be achieved through elements like color, pattern, and shape. So before choosing your rug, remember those aspects to glam up your home. 4. Pay attention to the style coordination All your home decor choices – from the rug to the furniture and accessories may be part of a grand narrative. Every choice in a home interior design should match – when choosing the perfect rug for your space, you should pay attention to the style of the house. In other words, for an ideal home, it’s essential to take care of harmony and unity. 5. Have fun with It Lastly, we would like to remember that despite all tips, the most important thing about designing a home is to have fun with it. So, let your imagination free and enjoy the process of stylish your home and stage the perfect rug. Now that you know how to stage a rug like a pro, what about some inspiration? Memphis or Art Deco? What to choose and why?

Memphis or Art Deco? Both have bold forms as common characteristics and leave their mark on history. When it comes to interior design, there are always a lot of styles to have in mind, and if you have ever found yourself asking the question Memphis or Art Deco, what to choose and why? This article is for you. But, if you have never asked yourself this question, this article is also for you- cause you are about to learn more about each style. Memphis Guide What is Memphis Design Style? Memphis design is a postmodern style that emerged from the Memphis Milano; this famous collective was founded by Ettore Sottsass and revolutionized the design world between 1981 and 1987. This iconic style uses bright neon, primary and pastel colors, geometric shapes, and bold, repetitive patterns. Memphis is a bold style that was born as a reaction to the linear mid-century modern aesthetic from the 50s and 60s, as well as to the 70s minimalism. Milano Collective works in this anti-design movement and creates daring furniture inspired by the 20s Art Deco and mid-century Pop Art. Memphis Design Style Characteristics The bright colors and bold shapes make it easy to identify a Memphis Design; therefore, these characteristics of the style usually incorporate these key elements: bold patterns, round borders, curves, surprisingly color combinations, simple geometric shapes, and black and white graphics. Memphis Style in Interior Design When Ettore Sottsass and his collective of designers started to develop the Memphis Style, the usability of the furniture wasn’t a concern for them – the priority was the design. Nowadays, the style is an inspiration for great designers who want some touches of boldness to their interior projects. Some ways to use the Memphis inspiration to get a stylish touch to your project but without going excessively bold is to choose Memphis-inspired furniture, shaped rugs, and use bright colors and patterns to highlight the interior. Art Deco Guide What is Art Deco Style? Art Deco is an artistic, architectural, and decorative style that emerged at the beginning of the 20s – it’s also known for its refinement, elegance, and geometric patterns. Therefore this style dates from the 20s; the term Art Deco first appeared in the 60s, referring to the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts and Modern Industries, which took place in Paris in 1925. Art deco remains by the passion for geometric and fragmented forms, but in a smaller perspective than the Cubism movement. To better understand this style, some people used to refer to this as a Cubism transition. Another highlight is the focus on usability that this style usually has. Art Deco Style Characteristics Now it’s time to talk about the main characteristics of Art Deco. Some highlights of this style that we already mentioned are the focus on usability and the use of geometric and fragmented forms. Therefore, this style emphasizes symmetry, layered shapes, line art, and metallic colors like gold. Art Deco in Interior Design Art Deco style goes beyond interior design and influences other aspects such as fashion and car design. Embellishing a home with this style means embracing the history of the 20s and 30s. An Art Deco-inspired house presents a bold and powerful look with a touch of romance. To active this style, it’s crucial to seek furniture and accessories that highlight the main characteristics of Art Deco, including zigzag patterns, triangular shapes, stylized wildlife, and chevron patterns, for example. For an Art Deco-inspired home, another essential attention is to the material used in the interior. The most commons are upholstery fabrics for seating, stainless steel, marble, mirror, glass, and lacquer for furnishings and accessories. Memphis or Art Deco? Now it’s time to answer your question: Memphis or What Deco? What to Choose and Why? We have two notes for you. First, we would like to clarify that there is no correct answer for this query – it will depend on your style and which one of those fits your home and personality better. Second, there is no rule for home decor – so you can have more than one style in your residence (but try not to be overwhelmed with much information). Memphis or Art Deco? As we notice in this article, both styles have bold forms and hint at cubism inspiration. One of the significant differences between those styles is that while Memphis started with a total focus on design, Art Deco was born with a focus on usability. Both are bold styles, but they have a different visual impact – Memphis has a modernist appeal, and Art Deco has a flair for romance. While Memphis highlights bright and vibrant colors, Art Deco features luminous colors and deep yellows, reds, greens, and pinks mixed with silver, black, and chrome. Guide to Find your Home Style If you are still trying to figure out which style your matches home better, Memphis or Art Deco, take a look at this short guide to help you to decide: 1. Think about your style: look at your closet and favorite accessories; it may help you notice the colors, fabrics, and patterns that you must use; this can be a clue for your home decor. 2. Look for inspiration: an excellent way to find home decor inspiration is by looking for projects in magazines and on the internet, for example. You can select your favorite inspirations and figure out what they have in common. You can save them on a Pinterest board to better understand your style. 3. Analyze your home: your home interior should match your home style, so to help you to decide which style to go for: figure out which one of your choices should fit better in your place 4. Have fun: There is no rule for interior decor – feel free to change your mind about styles, rethink and discover the set that matches your style. Remember, your home is your refugee. Memphis or Art Decor? No matter which one you choose, they …

PICK INSIDE THIS LUXURY PARISIAN HOME

The Parisian lifestyle is associated with buying finer things. Luxurious surroundings, refined indulgences, and a fondness for beautiful goods may spring to mind. But it’s unusual to come across a project that completely embodies them all. This French design firm Le Berre Vevaud designed this luxurious Parisian home. Raphaël and Thomas stated that they wanted to create a family home that reflected their essence. It belongs to art collecting couples and their two children. In the first place, the designers needed to turn this Parisian home functional. The duo got surprised by the dimension of the house and its brightness. Starting with the first floor, the living area, dining room, kitchen, the designers planned an open layout to maximize the natural light. Moving forward, Raphaël and Tho incorporated a mezzanine to break up the six-meter-high ceiling. That included a high platform with a view of the dining room. Therefore turned into an office. While the mezzanine allowed breaking the high ceiling, the adjoining walls meant the creation of a larger room too. Additionally, the two big public rooms’ frame views add the same effect. From the living room, you can see the dining area. Le Berre Vevaud incorporated a cloudy gold leaf by Anne Féat Gaiss in the dining room. Below they added a black round-legged Olbia cabinet from their collection; minimal Sophie SÁssoit chairs from Maison Dadad surround a bespoke marble table. PICK INSIDE THIS LUXURY PARISIAN HOME In the opposite direction of the living room, there is a mural artwork by Martin Beger, a black wood sculpture by Charles Kalpakian, armchairs by Ignazio Gardella, and a coffee table by Yann Dessauvage. On the opposite direction of the living room, there is a mural artwork by Martin Berger, black wood sculptures by Charles Kalpakian, Ignazio Gardella armchairs, and a cantilevered bronze coffee table by Yann Dessauvage. Finally, Raphaël and Thomas added a partition to the sitting area and entrance elevator. The architectural brilliance of Le Berre Vevaud converted the majestic townhouse into a family home. Plus, their ability to interpret the couple’s massive art collection in a domestic context distinguished their work. For instance, the designer incorporated a 17th-century portrait by hand Hansen Rasch above a bespoke console in the entrance hall. The artwork is displayed harmoniously in a bedroom that can be mistaken for a family picture. The Parisian home is not only an exhibition of the couple’s art collection, but it includes a 1,000 square-foot spa. On the spa, Le Berre and Vevaud let their imagination run free. They created a dark staircase with waxed concrete to mimic the textures of stones. They built a raised platform beneath a gridded skylight to house a circular Jacuzzi. At the same time, they placed a shower room and hammam sauna on the opposite side. Both got covered with a constellation of microscopic mosaic tiles made by ceramics manufacturer Beton Blanché . The Real Housewives Of Miami Dr. Nicole Martin Mansion

The Real Housewives Of Miami Dr. Nicole Martin Mansion

Dr. Nicole Martin, a cast member of The Real Housewives of Miami, lives in a beachfront mansion with her husband, the attorney Anthony Lopez. Although the tv show is a drama-filled program, the real housewife of Miami and her husband, Anthony Lopez, reside in a calm Spanish- Colonial house in Coral Gables, Florida. Manny Angelo, CEO and president of MV Group USA, couple with interior designer Briggs Edward Solomon to remodel the house. The house was renovated to make it more comfortable, henceforth welcoming. They construct a timeless, classic, and clean interior. THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF MIAMI DR.NICOLE MARTIN MANSION Born in Miami, the star of The Real Housewives of Miami, is a medical doctor. She and her husband share a 9,000- square foot mansion on a 2.2-acre Spanish-Colonial style with a breathtaking 500 feet shoreline. For the couple, their home is a place where they can entertain. As a result, the remodeling of the Spanish-Colonial style home required the creation of a 3000-bottle wine cellar, a 20 seat movie theater, and an oak and black granite countertop bar in the living room. The star of The Real Housewives of Miami has a Spanish-style home with double-height ceilings, in addition, large picture windows, arched walls, and an abundance of natural light Because of the home’s massive size and the distinctive airiness of the rooms, Dr.Nicole´s property may easily be unimpressive. The collection of natural materials is ideal for creating a relaxing atmosphere. Get To Know This Colorful Tribeca Playful Family Home

Get To Know This Colorful Tribeca Playful Family Home

Designed by Olivia Stutz, this family home in Tribeca shows a playful vibe full of creativity and beautiful inspirations. At the moment that designer Olivia Stutz got challenged to transform a family home condo in New York Tribeca into art-driven, she got excited. The designer was so happy that Elle Langston, the local nail salon Paintbox founder, and her family trusted in her vision. Olivia Stutz moved to New York three years ago from San Francisco to launch her design studio. When designing the three-bedroom loft, she used textures and color, with structural and metallic elements. Therefore, reflecting Elle´s aesthetic of outing two colors together. Which is something that the nail founder does in her nail studio. Together with the New York artist Alex Proba, the designer remodeled this Tribeca playful family home. The living room includes a custom-made rug with a vast space and high and floor ceilings windows. The three white Stairway bookshelves are piled and stocked with CB2, Urban Outfitters, and Zara Home accessories. A copper bowl by Brooklyn studio Fort Standard, JWDA table lamps by Danish firm Menu, and a burnt orange light by Entler is among the items on display. The designer states that styling was a big part of the family home design. Olivia used Elle and her husband’s existing furniture, such as velvet sofas, Gubi dinnerware, and Milo Baughman chairs. To highlight the family home, the designer used sculptural and metallic elements. Including a tubular steel chair designed by Jumbo; a matching chrome piece; a geometric floor lamp, and a white structure in the middle of the couches. The designer got inspiration from Ettore Sottsass and the 1980 Memphis movement. Olivia found some of the family home pieces in a sample sale. TRIBECA PLAYFUL FAMILY HOME Stutz´s remodeled the living lounge area with a neutral tone for a clear feeling. With a white sofa, white rug, and driftwood photograph by Keith Ramsdell. The main bedroom family home decorations use the same neutral tones. Combining the white and the gray upholstered wall. Neutral palettes don’t mean tedious. Stutz incorporates playful elements in the room. For example, the black side tables with oak drawers and the hardwood floors combined with bespoke white lamps. Texture, pattern, and color are all there at all times. The designers adore the combination of marble and sheepskin, as well as the sharp edges. Olivia utilized more metallic and geometric items throughout the apartment to bring everything together, including the kids’ playroom. The playroom/ guest room is incorporated a golden Half Moon Mirror by Ben and Aja Blanc. Elle and her husband already possessed the circular, black marble dining table and green Beetle dining chairs in the dining room, both by Danish manufacturer Gubi. Inside Lenny Kravitz'S Maximalist Home, In Beverly Hills

Inside Lenny Kravitz’s Maximalist Home, in Beverly Hills

Rock star, Lenny Kravitz, became an interior designer and transformed a house in Beverly Hills into a maximalist home inspired by the seventies. In addition to an extraordinary rock star, Lenny Kravitz became an interior designer. Williams, a luxury realtor, was looking for a designer for the home of his dreams, purchased with his wife and partner, Rayni. Therefore, the first meeting of these two guys was the beginning of a successful design partnership. Located in the historic neighborhood of Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills – once the home of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Also, Williams’ new home was designed by iconic mid-century architect Jack Charney. Williams’ family wanted the house to be a tribute to Trousdale’s heyday in the middle of the century, but with more eccentric details and no rules. Although the family knew several renowned designers, they couldn’t find the perfect fit, until one night they found the Kravitz Design website. The next day, Williams spotted Kravitz on the road. Once Williams established that he was not a crazy fan, the two realized that they shared a common vision. According to Kravitz, his design aesthetic can go in many different directions depending on the client’s ideas and the project. Williams’ concern was with how they would pay a rock star. But Lenny reassured them and said, “I want to work with you on this, if you really want to do it and don’t hold back, I’m on board”. Destroying the house after the discovery of asbestos, the couple rebuilt it following the exact architectural footprint of Charney. With only minor modifications (higher ceilings, for example) and an extension of 1,000 square feet. Williams and Kravitz Design collaborated closely to bring their decadent vision to life, detail by meticulous detail. Against a light background of yellows, oranges, neutrals, and metallic and lush velvets coexist with graphic patterns, from tiger stripes to 1920s chinoiserie. To find the perfect stone for the dramatic shower, one of Kravitz’s favorite features, they scoured stone yards for two years until they found the right one. Williams ended up taking the same perfectionist approach, in all aspects of the home, like Lenny. Williams and Kravitz loved layers. Always looking for the perfect new addition, be it a Chinese jade toilet bowl or a bronze tiger head. However, they have always kept the spirit of mid-century design in mind. Williams’ wife Rayni stresses that the house looks like a restoration due to the wonderful handpicked pieces. Law Roach had a lot of work at the beginning of the season, with the Venice Film Festival, the New York Fashion Week, then the Met Gala, and last, the Paris Fashion Week. When I’m dressing someone, I always try to find a way to express their personality, and I wanted to do the same for my home,”. He also said that this is a very specific and unique home, and there’s a need to have a “…certain amount of imagination to really appreciate it.”. And so we did! During the pandemic, Law decided to expand his art collection focusing mostly on Black Artists. We can mention a few names, such as Kehinde Wiley, Genesis Tramaine, and Simone Leigh. Here you can see the dining room space with natural light all over. An amazing space to spend time with friends and family! We can say that this is an outstanding living room by the hands of Floyd David, that works in the Chicago-based studio Arpentry. The main star of this kitchen is the backlit portrait of Barack Obama, made by artist Richard Arthur. The main bedroom has a soft decoration with artworks by Gustavo Nazareno and a leather-wrapped bed by Floyd Davis. Snorkel, diving mask, and flippers by Tom Ford for Gucci (1999) make this bathroom a unique one. Now it’s time to take a look at the outside of Law Roach’s home. With a painting by Ian Michael and an amazing view! To conclude this article, Roach says, “I really enjoyed this process. There’s such a strong link between fashion and interiors, and I’d love to explore it even further. Maybe some kind of great collaboration with a Target or a Crate & Barrel. I work with all these couture brands, but it’s always been my dream to do something accessible to a much broader audience,” Are you looking for a way to glam up your home? Discover our brand catalog and find incredible rugs that can elevate any home decor. Are you looking for a way to make your apartment look bigger? Take a look at these six easy ideas to improve your space. If you live in an apartment and would like to improve its space, this article is for you. Get inspired by some easy decor ideas to help you to enhance your home space. Stay with us and keep on reading! 1. Glass Decor Coffee tables or dining tables are an incredible way to consolidate glass into a room, which immediately liberates up space. You may elect a unique table with a touch of glass to create some space. 2. Furniture Needs to be Away From the Walls Moving out furniture from the borders of the room will deliver the whole space a facelift. Be that as it may, this trick is most compelling when your furniture is smaller than it would have to be pushed against a wall. For example, you can select a two-seater lounge chair rather than a two-and-a-half-seater seat because it’ll look more proportioned when pulled away from the wall. 3. Artwork All Over the Wall A trap of the eye, mounting expansive works of art on littler walls can make them see greater. If you prefer, you could incline toward hanging parcels of work of art, and scramble it throughout the house rather than lumping it all on one divider. It’ll keep things feeling new and open.  4. Nooks or Entryways Unused space could be a total no in a loft. Utilize any hallways or niches by including something within the wall hanging. Here you can use simply a piece of furniture or a painting. Doing that will create a unique feeling of more interior zones. 5. Mirror Are Always a Good Idea Our Apartment Decor Inspiration continues with what? Mirrors! Mirrors have the ability to create instant space in a home because they will make it bigger. Place them everywhere if you want them! 6. Bookcases? Or Shelves? Bookcases are bulky and include pointless space. In case you can utilize floating shelves. They are an elegant way to show books and adornments. If you cannot hang them on the walls, go for bookcases with lean edges or metal outlines, so they mix in as much as conceivable with the surroundings.  Are you looking for a way to glam up your home? Discover our brand catalog and find incredible rugs that can elevate any home decor.
