More Than a Vacation Home

The interior designer, Jessica Gersten, started to work on this beach house project just before the pandemic – which makes this project even more special – since the homeowners decided to escape New York City during the lockdown and live in Water Mill – even though the house was empty and the furnishing was still to come.

With only mattresses and an old sofa, the family moved in and experienced all the work that turned the empty place into a charming beach house. The young family participated in all the steps that assembled this stunning interior decor, from the furniture to the lighting installations.

The homeowners waited for the residence and lived through its transformation and interior design process. Now, the Watermill Splendor occupies more than the space of a vacation home – but also the place where the family escaped from a thought time, sharing stories and dreaming about every home detail.
