Meet the New York Penthouse
To escape the hustle and bustle of New York City, the interior designer creates the perfect “urban nest” for their occupants. The color palette of this stunning Penthouse gives a comfortable atmosphere with the borrows greens from the park, browns and burgundies from the other buildings, and the sky’s blue. The “Great Room” is the monumental space of this Penthouse, 50 feet long and 14 feet high.
This room features statement pieces like Pierre Augustin Roser’s sofa and Pierre Bonnefille’s Cuprite d’Eau coffee table. To complete the look, Banda includes a 5-meter-wide hand-knotted rug from Nepal. This Great Room is stunning and features another Pierre Augustin sofa, a round table by Craft, and a Charlotte Biltgen’s Ebisiu armchair. The daybed in front of the large glass window creates a serene atmosphere.
The New York Penthouse is a masterpiece. The kitchen is a true masterpiece with an overlook New York skyline. This space displays bespoke cabinetry in a hand-rubbed finish, white quartzite countertops, and splashback. To complete the stunning kitchen look, a Francesco Balzano dining table is paired with incredible chairs and beautiful artwork by Per Kirkeby.
The soft color palette with the perfect surrounding views of the city creates the ideal environment to relax and enjoy an excellent dinner in the formal dining room. This living space features a remarkable dining table by the Studio Parisien paired with Pendhapa chairs, but the stunning rug and the pair of pendants elevate the design of this room.
The primary bedroom and ensuite of this New York Penthouse occupy the entire north facade, offering breathtaking city views. The main bedroom embodies serenity and style, featuring a soft plaster wall, a neutral bedhead, and a stunning modern rug by Atelier Févrie. To complete this beautiful bedroom look, there is an artwork by Andy Warhol above the bed and an Elizabeth Payton artwork above the chair.
The main bathroom displays a handmade freestanding bathtub finished in polished nickel, designed by William Holland. The principal suite extends into a personal study area, with a mid-century desk set against a towering window that overlooks the lush green landscape of Central Park.
On this floor, we also have one of the two guest rooms. The first one is painted olive green to match the dark-green velvet bedhead, creating a harmonious fusion of urban concrete and the enchanting allure of nature. The moody tones, materials, and lighting elegantly embrace the natural sunlight of NYC
The main focus of the second guest room is art. This pink room features ethereal digital prints by Christopher Wool above the stunning bed, blending modernity with elegance. The guest rooms of this New York Penthouse are exquisite, each with a clear and intelligent concept.
