This gem in the heart of Miami Beach was created by designer Joe Nahem, who transformed this apartment into an authentic art gallery with an ocean view. With 4,000 square feet of space, Joe Nahem had plenty of room to let his creativity flourish, drawing inspiration from the beachside beauty of Miami.
The owners of this beach apartment, Luigi Caiola, and Sean McGill, sought to renovate it to make their three children feel comfortable and at home. Additionally, the apartment needed to be sophisticated and functional, ensuring it could quickly adapt to the needs of a large family.

The apartment has a funky, eclectic vibe, vibrant colors, and unique pieces. One key feature is the tunnels, which are coated in a sleek resin finish and adorned with playful polka dot patterns. These dots extend onto the floor, creating a whimsical continuity that ties the space together. The overall effect is a lively and dynamic atmosphere where every detail contributes to the apartment’s distinct character.
The 180-degree window adds depth to the room and offers a breathtaking view of Miami’s most sought-after beaches. The designer aimed to create an inviting and fun space for the whole family while enhancing well-being with a privileged view of the sea. When we think of beach apartments, we often imagine minimalist decor with subtle coastal elements. However, this apartment redefines the concept of Luxury Beach Apartments by blending opulence with bold design choices, transforming traditional seaside living into a stylish, sophisticated experience. Another important aspect is that the designer has known the owners for many years, which allows for a favorable understanding of their personalities and tastes.
All the furniture was carefully selected, with the participation of several artisans skilled in craftsmanship. Among the many contributors to this project, we can highlight the “Cocoon” armchair by Louis Vuitton, designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana, the sofa created by Italian designer Francesco Binfaré, and the Woven Wool Rug by Dana Barnes Studio. Nahem’s conversation with Vanessa Barragão, a renowned Portuguese textile artist, was an intriguing aspect of the design process. Barragão’s innovative approach to textiles is evident in her work, and her contribution to the project was particularly noteworthy. She crafted the exquisite rug and the stunning headboard featured in the main suite.
